This competition is calling for innovated car parking tower design scheme in the heart of Hong Kong. In stead of being a purely functional parking facility, it is looking for a new type of parking tower, also be able to provide spaces for events and exhibitions.
Think about common parking spaces, they are low, dark and industrial. How to convert it into a bright automobile exhibition space? The scheme started from one-way parking circulation. Two spiral ramps forms a DNA shape, provide spaces in between both for car parking and car exhibition. The DNA spiral leaves six hollows running through all the layers, implemented as structural and egress cores.
