Customized Reception Desk

Water always inspires furniture design by its fluent form and dynamic movement. This project is to bring water’s characteristic to furniture. A liquid-fluent form is generated by sequence of key-functional sections,  integrating a guest couch and reception desk within one simple movement. Further more, the water ripple pattern is applied. With an algorithm to manipulate its distribution, density and volume, it is able to balance the level of comfort and the liquidity of form. the whole process is visualized in the end, it is fascinating to show how liquid is converted to solid.
